1. Lincolnshire’s Medieval Heroines: highlighting women such as Nicholaa de la Haye, Alice de Lacy and Katherine Swynford
2. The Women of the Norman Conquest: looking at the stories of the women of the 1066 story, including Lady Godiva, Judith of Flanders, Matilda of Flanders Queen of England and Edith Swanneck
3. The Warenne Earls of Surrey, looking at the story of the Warenne family, from the Norman Conquest to the reign of Edward III. Though the family name suggests southerners – they owned and built Conisbrough Castle, South Yorkshire. The family have been involved in all the major events of medieval England, including the Conquest, the 1st battle of Lincoln and Magna Carta.
4. Katherine Swynford and Joan Beaufort: looking at the relationship of mother and daughter, their families and their impact on history.
5. Lincolnshire’s Tudor Heroines: looking at some of the famous Tudor women with links to Lincolnshire, including Bessie Blount (Henry VIII’s mistress), Queen Katherine Parr, Katherine Willoughby (Duchess of Suffolk) and Lady Rose Hickman of Gainsborough.
6. Nicholaa de la Haye: Telling the story of Lincoln Castle’s formidable castellan.
7. Women of the Anarchy: Empress Matilda, Matilda of Boulogne and the women involved in the civil war between Stephen and Matilda
8. Scotland’s Medieval Queens: a look at some of the women who helped to shape Scotland and its history
